A good leader knows when to retire

I said many things but the one that got the audience most worked up was when I said a good leader knows when to retire. You are not a good leader if you don’t know when your sell by date has come and when you can retire to give someone more energetic with new ideas.

Tony Fernandes, CEO of AirAsia.com

True that Uncle Tony. Let the young guns give a refreshing change to your startup, company or organisation. Read more from his inspiring post.

Uncle Tony now blogs

Well, well. Everybody seems to be getting into the “blogging” phenomena, and now Tony Fernandes has his own blog too. When AirAsia launched their blog, I really thought it was good move. They integrate their content closely with their services, which is a pretty smart move. Very smart. They should have done this way back before the “blogging” waves reached Malaysia.

Update: Found Tengku Zafrul’s (of TuneMoney.com) blog as well. Looks like the Tune Group is setting the standard.

Everyone can definitely fly

I came across this video by accident & I’m touched by it. The video was produced by Yasmin Ahmad for AirAsia. It’s truly a Malaysian outlook in how things should be. We just need to chill and work things out together. We learn together.

Few things I’d like to say about this video.

  • Tony Fernandes is seriously a chill dude.
  • I’d like the part, “We learn together”. Yea, we should try to learn together.
  • Everything is possible. We just need to work it out. Together.
  • Helping people with real problems is must thing to do for any company and person.
  • So far, AirAsia has been a pleasant experience for me.

Lastly, AirAsia is really a cool company, from the looks of the video-lah. Would like to work for them someday.
