Music to my ears

July 26, 2008 @ 7:10 PM Comment

BarCamp was definitely a success today. Although I, *cough*, hardly was in any of the sessions (except for mine), it was really good to see a place full of testosterone, sprinkled with a lil bit of pheromones on top, exchanging ideas & most importantly, socialising with each other. And it’s all geeks! Basically…

I’d like to thank the audience, who came for my session & manage to survive listening to me talking & talking & talking about how we can bend the rules of the game in the music industry. It was really super fun & relief being able to share some of my personal experiences in music & the conclusions that I make from my observations. Music is my passion, although I’m unable to play any kind of instrument. But I can sing ;)

I hope that I got my point through. We, can really make a difference.

Guess which browser?

It’s funny though that Facebook is not supporting IE7 and below, since Microsoft is in bed with Facebook. But it does give out a good message to all those who are still ignorant…

UPGRADE YOUR BROWSER!

*cough*

And to those who still wants to build sites using IE as a benchmark: I pray for your poor souls.

Langkawi Permata Kedah

July 16, 2008 @ 7:36 PM Comment

Tuanku Sultan Kedah has bestowed upon Langkawi a new name, “Langkawi Permata Kedah”.

“I hope that the state government will upgrade the facilities at the terminal to international standards as it is the main entrance to the island”

Tuanku, back in 1999 2001, we did try to improve those facilities. In fact, we formed a new subsidiary called “Lada Langkawi Consolidated”, whose sole purpose was to manage these ferry terminals. We created new jobs for the people. We endured tough battles with the Economic Planning Unit in order to make it happen. We wanted to make sure that these facilities in Kuala Kedah, Kuala Perlis & Kuah operated efficiently as what we had done for another port in Langkawi.

We wanted efficiency. But there were some “people” who wanted just money. They wonder & kept asking us, “How is this going to benefit ME?”. And trust me people, these people were not entirely cronies for BN. They were cronies. And that’s why I know cronies are not exclusive only to BN governments.

But what happened? Try asking them. If you ask us, we’ve got a pile of paperwork.

Malaysia Today hacked?

July 16, 2008 @ 5:20 PM Comment

At about 5pm everyday, we, the Kuli Gang, will have our daily news on Malaysian politics. We visit websites like MalaysiaKini, Bernama & others to feed our “addiction”. However, we were greeted differently on Malaysia Today

Was Malaysia Today hacked???

Here’s a different screenshot when I accessed the site without “www” prefix. Why? Because the web works both ways :)

Maybe they were upgrading something. But something happened.

Friday, Tiga Belas Hari Bulan Enam, 2008.

I love Freddy Krueger. When I was a kid, I would sit & booked the TV on Friday night just to watch him orchestrate another nightmare. He was like the James Bond of nightmares. Armed with his razor sharp fingernails, christmas sweater & his signature tophat, he rules the streets of Elm like nobody’s business. Kill kill, die die.

And when Jason arose from Crystal Lake, he became my new supervillain. His tormented soul ravaged anyone camping in Crystal Lake. One scene I like best was where a couple was having sex in their tent & the girl was on top. Suddenly, Jason’s shadow appeared behind the girl (while she was on top) and Jason just simply sliced her body into half. The guy probably had the best orgasm in his life in that scene.

And how I wished for Jason & Freddy to fight each other.

And the wish came true. Here’s a scene from the epic battle of monsters, Freddy versus Jason.

Horror movies taught me one thing. Face the fear.

WuChess. Wu Wu Wu Tang! I let you take my Wu Tang style

June 12, 2008 @ 1:49 PM Comment

Man oh man. Celebrity branding has definitely taken to the next level in the US. While here in Malaysia, most celebrities are still crawling with their brands. It’s either they are clueless or care less. Their choice. Their game. But it’s so sad to see that no matter how much of “progressive”-ness you bring the to the table, the “golden ways” will always win. But so far, I’ve made sure that there’s something different that surrounds a brand that will make it the talk of the town. Idea is an idea.

WuChess is in town.

The game of chess, is like a swordfight. You must think first, before you move. Toad style is immensely strong, and immune to nearly any weapon. When it’s properly used, it’s almost invincible
