Here in my home… where else? MALAYSIA!
Albeit many stories that you’ve probably listened to too many times, about how that kwai-lo is good at that, great at this, you’ll start to wonder what happen to our own wonders & awed achievements? Where did they go until to the point of… we go?
Well, putting crap aside, Malaysian Artistes For Unity is a great project collectively produced by these people: afdlin shauki, awie, ning baizura, atilia, jaclyn victor, reshmonu, pete teo, jason lo, klg sqwad, altimet, suki, daniel lee, nikki palikat, melina william, tony fernandes, maya karin, harith & many more people behind the layar. When watching the video, the first, well maybe not, but the first character that you capture is Afdlin. When you look at him, you just love him. Love at first sight. That’s how I can best describe my love for Malaysia. It’s unbreakable. It’s like cutting through a stream of water with that scary parang of yours (or “air dicincang tak akan putus”). I just love Malaysia.
To make my feelings more violently understandable, if you don’t like Malaysia, just fuck off.
