With James Blunt “You’re Beautiful” playing in the background, he pretty much described the reason why the nation mourned early this morning. As of 07:55 AM, 20th October 2005, the beautiful wife of Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, our Malaysian Prime Minister, gave away her last breath. She was undergoing a post-operation/treatment for breast cancer & earlier before her passing, her twin sister knocked on heaven’s door January last year, caused by the same reasons.
This year’s Ramadhan had too many sad songs played. As a proud Malaysian, the lost of “”Bapa badminton”:http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2005/10/18/sports/12343595&sec=sports”, the fall of our “strongest man”:http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2005/10/19/nation/12356913&sec=nation & now this, “the departure of our batik queen”:http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2005/10/20/nation/20051020091605&sec=nation (no pun intended, it’s just the way I’d like to describe & remember her), Datin Seri Endon Mahmood just reminds me of how fragile life can be.
Al-fatihah.
