Instead of arriving in my office, feeling down after 4 days of non smoking(yea, I’m quitting. Wish me luck), a cow bull arrived in mail. From today onwards, I’ll be riding the rodeo of Odeo.
Odeo is podcasting service, where you can subscribe to a variety of shows available on the Web. From kinky voiced female emcees (Suicidegirls radio), to talks about how IT becomes a culture on its own and many many more. With a pretty snappy, fun & cool web interface, you have total control of what you want to listen to.
The roo-Odeo people also made a plus by providing a simple synchronising software, just for you to download all of your (new) favourite shows & listen to it from your iPod or your choice of mp3 player. I don’t have one, but it’s a good reason to have one.
The Odeo service is not that revolutionary, but definitely a different approach taken by Evan Williams, former employee & co-founder of Blogger. It takes audio broadcasting to a different new leve, where your shows follows you wherever you go.
